Freebie – How to Create a Mini Vision Board Habit Tracker

Welcome to my free tutorial, where I show you how to improve your planning with a mini vision board habit tracker.
My name is Mona, I am a teacher of German as a foreign language and a foreign language correspondent, and I have been teaching languages since 2004.
On my website polyglotmona and on my YouTube channel polyglotmona, I create Mediabooks (these are eBooks with videos and audio) in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian.
    Let’s get started!

How to Plan a Habit Tracker Combined with a Vision Board

    Dear readers,

welcome to my freebie, where I show you how you can improve your planning and ensure your success with a planner or notebook – for example from my shop on polyglotmona – and with a vision board – for example using personal photo stickers.

Thanks to the generous support of my fans, who support me on Patreon and in my shop on polyglotmona, I can share my passion for languages, planning tips, ideas about health, travel, minimalism, and much more with you.

I work closely with my native-speaking proofreaders, so I have to plan my work very carefully to ensure that there is always material ready for correction and audio recording. To make this possible, I have developed a simple combination of digital and paper-based planning systems.

    How My Planning System Works

In this system, I use one of my notebooks – they are all spiral-bound and without lines or grids. I divide my habits according to how often I perform them and when they fit into my daily routine.

There are therefore the following types of habits: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly tasks, as well as morning, midday, afternoon, and evening tasks.

To avoid putting pressure on myself to enter everything perfectly into the planner the first time, I write individual habits or tasks on Post-its and first stick them onto the corresponding pages in the planner.

Once I know how much space I need, I write in the titles I mentioned before (daily, weekly … morning, midday …). Each page contains only one habit.

First come the yearly tasks, then the semi-annual ones, and so on, until I reach the daily ones. The daily and weekly tasks must of course be entered repeatedly into the planner, the monthly ones at the beginning of each month, the quarterly ones at the beginning of each quarter, and so on.

The Main Advantage of This System

The advantage of this system is that I always focus on just one task that I see in front of me on a single page. Only when the task is completed and I have recorded that I completed it do I move on to the next task.

Important: Plan your tasks for a few minutes every morning and evening in your planner and update it after each completed task.

    Weekly Review and Motivation

To plan more precisely, I also evaluate each week what went well and what didn’t. After each completed task, I note special observations and successes using symbols and bullet points next to the task.

For motivation, each page also includes, in addition to the tracker (a table with checkboxes), a small vision board.

In this freebie, I show you how to create them.
