January 1 – International Day of Peace

January 1 is dedicated worldwide to peace. In many cultures and religions, this day is used to pause, reflect on the past year, and begin the new year with peaceful intentions. Peace does not only mean the absence of conflict, but also respect, dialogue, and responsibility in everyday life.

    Why this day matters:

🕊️ Peace begins on a small scale – in how we treat one another

🌍 Global challenges require cooperation instead of violence

🤍 Inner peace supports our mental well-being

🤝 Responsibility and compassion foster peaceful coexistence

    What I’m doing today:

I’m starting the new year calmly and consciously, planning my next steps and trying to be kind to myself and others. Instead of strict resolutions, I focus on small, peaceful choices in daily life.

    What you can do today:

Take a quiet moment for yourself, write down a peaceful wish for the new year, or treat at least one person today with special care and respect.
