    December 31 – New Year’s Eve

Today we say goodbye to an entire year of moments — quiet and loud, beautiful and difficult, unexpected and ordinary. New Year’s Eve is a night of reflection and a night of hope: we look back with gratitude and forward with courage. And we remember that every new beginning starts in the heart, not in the calendar.

In many countries, New Year’s Eve is celebrated on December 31, while in Russia the transition into the new year is celebrated together with January 1 as one single New Year’s holiday.

    Why this day matters:

✨ Reflection brings clarity and peace

💛 Gratitude makes the year feel lighter and brighter

🤍 Small steps carry us further than big resolutions

💙 Hope grows where we allow trust to enter

    What I am doing today:

I take a quiet moment for myself, drink something warm, and write a few lines about the past year and the things I want to release. And I set gentle intentions: more calm, more light, more courage, more joy — not as resolutions, but as a direction.

    What you can do today:

Light a candle. Write down three things you are grateful for. Breathe deeply. Call someone who matters to you. And enter the new year with a kind thought: you don’t have to be perfect — you just have to be you.
