January 24 – International Day of Education

The International Day of Education is an official observance of the United Nations and highlights the central importance of education worldwide. Education is recognized as one of the most fundamental human rights and a key prerequisite for personal development, social justice, and sustainable development.

This day reminds us that education goes far beyond formal schooling. It empowers people to make independent decisions, think critically, and actively participate in society. At the same time, the International Day of Education draws attention to existing inequalities and calls for making education accessible to everyone, regardless of background or circumstances.
